Plastval was created in 1996 to contribute to the complyance of the european directive 94/62/CE.

• Plastval is the plastics division of Sociedade Ponto Verde.
• Plastval develops activities in the fields of recovery and recycling of plastics promoting their value and rational usage.

Our tasks can be summarized by the following:

• To ensure the valorisation/recycling of plastic packaging waste within the green dot system;
• To give technical support to Municipalities and Private Operators in the fields of collection and sorting;
• To guarantee the take back and recycling of all plastic packaging waste presented for recovery channeling it to accredited recyclers;
• To promote research and development through innovation searching for new applications in the valorisation of plastics.
• To promote communication plans and activities (spawning from municipalities) for the environmental education of the Portuguese population.
